6 highest-paid executives at Apple

Tim Cook, CEO

Apple Inc CEO Tim Cook made $9,222,638 in 2014,
more than double what he pulled in the year before. None of Cook's stock vested this year, but in 2011 he was awarded about $376 million in restricted stock units that will turn into shares he can sell over the next decade.

Luca Maestri, SVP and CFO

Luca Maestri joined Apple in 2013 and was promoted to CFO last year. He made over $14 million in 2014.
His pay from 2012 and 2013 is omitted because he
wasn't an executive officer then.

Peter Oppenheimer, former CFO

Peter Oppenheimer was Apple's CFO before announcing he would retire last March. Luca Maestri assumed Oppenheimer's role last year. Oppenheimer made $4.5 million last year, a paltry sum compared to the nearly $68.6 million he pulled in in 2012.

Angela Ahrendts, SVP of retail and online stores

Angela Ahrendts made $73.3 million in 2014, most of it in Apple stock. Apple said Ahrendts' stock package was based on her high salary and unvested equity at Burberry, where she was CEO before coming to Apple last May.
Her pay from 2012 and 2013 is omitted because she wasn't working for Apple then.

Eddy Cue, SVP of Internet Software and Services

Eddy Cue pulled in a neat $24.4 million in 2014, most of it from a $20 million stock award. Cue didn't have any stock awards in
2013 but was given $50 million in Apple shares in 2012.

Jeff Williams, SVP of Operations

Jeff Williams is Tim Cook's right-hand man at Apple. Williams also received a $20 million stock award last year, bringing his total pay to around $24.4 million.

The Best Free Antivirus Software for Windows

If you have a Windows computer, you need anti-virus software. There always will be those who will insist that every virus attack is caused due to "user error" or because the person using the computer wasn't careful enough.
Many computer dealers will ask you to buy a licence for an anti-virus suite along with the PC, but free anti-virus software along with an anti-malware programme form a line of defence that's good enough for most people.
Avast 2015 Free Antivirus
Avast is easy to understand, uses simple language to explain any problems, and has a great user interface that anyone can follow. It simplifies things like updating to the latest version and keeping the virus list up to date. Use silent mode to avoid the excessive announcements.
Download

Panda Free Antivirus 2015
Like Avast, Panda scored top marks for virus protection in AV-Test's report. Its interface is pretty but not as user friendly as that of Avast. It also has a nice feature called USB Vaccine - this prevents virus attacks that occur when you plug in an infected USB drive.
Download

BitDefender Antivirus Free Edition
BitDefender's best feature is that it runs quietly in the background by default. It won't bother you until it spots an infection, unlike most other anti-virus software, which need a fair bit of tweaking to get them to stop popping up all the time.
Download

The software mentioned above are great if you install them before your PC is infected. Once there's a virus attack

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a very effective tool for getting rid of a virus that's already made its way into your system. It's not useful for protecting your PC from virus attacks as it doesn't offer realtime threat protection, but is excellent at cleaning up the mess.
Download

Comodo Cleaning Essentials 6
Malwarebytes was, in our experience, the best tool for malware removal, but it still requires you to install it on your infected PC. Installing software may not be possible in some heavily infected machines. In such cases, Comodo Cleaning Essentials 6 will be useful. You just need to unzip the file to use this set of virus cleanup tools. Comodo Cleaning Essentials 6 is portable software that runs without installation, making it useful in worst case scenarios.

Anti-virus software, along with a malware cleanup tool should be good enough for most users.

Google is making human skin

Google has more than 100 doctors and researchers working on its health projects, which it started three years ago.
Late last year, Google revealed that it's in the early stages of creating tiny, magnetic nanoparticles that will be able to search the human body for cancer and other diseases.

The company's vision is that people will be able to swallow a pill filled with these nanoparticles, which will attach themselves to specific cells, proteins, and other molecules inside the body, depending on what they're "decorated" with. For example, Google could coat its nanoparticles with a specific antibody that would recognize and attach to a protein on the surface of a tumor cell.

When they come in contact with cancer cells, the nanoparticles will "light up." The pills will pair with a wristband, which will be able to detect any lighted nanoparticles in someone's blood.

To develop the pills and wristband - which are still a long way from becoming a reality - Google needs to measure how light passes through different types of skin. So, for its research, Google is making human skin in its Life Sciences facility.

Google has more than 100 doctors and researchers working on its health projects, which it started three years ago.

"The central thesis of what we're trying to do at Google Life Sciences is change medicine from being episodic and reactive (like, I go to the doctor when my arm hurts), to proactive and preventative," Conrad says.

The nanoparticles Google is working on will be so small that 2,000 could fit inside one red blood cell:

The idea is that the nanoparticles would travel through the blood, then get collected by a magnet on the wristband:

The wrist band would then be able to report on whether there were any lit up nanoparticles:

To create its synthetic skin, Google worked with real human skin. Here are some model arms made with materials that mimic the exact behaviors and characteristics of real skin.Google has to create lots of different skin types, so it can test how light passes through skin of different colors and thicknesses.

Diffrence Between SQL Server 2012 / 2008

Many New Features have been provided with the New SQL Server 2012. In this Blog I have provided these features in the way of difference between the older and New version of SQl Server.
SQL Server 2012
  1.  Its Code Name is Denali.
  2. Its have unlimited concurrent connections.
  3. New Function Are available such as CONCAT(), FORMAT() and TRY_CONVERT().
  4. Data visualization is available by which we can take snapshot of data.
  5. It Use 48 bit precision for Spatial Calculation.
  6. In this Server, server down time is reduced by 50% , hence OS patching is not rebooting n times.
  7. This Server Have high availability and disaster recovery factor has been introduced which duplicates the data and rapidly recovers the loss.
  8. In SQL Server 2012, the performance is 10 times faster than the predecessor.
  9. Buffer rate is high in SQL Server 2012 because of data compression.
  10. Support for persistent computed columns and extra geographical approach is possible with spatial features in SQL Server 2012.
SQL Server 2008
  1. Its Code Name is Kilimanjaro.
  2. Its have limited concurrent connections which are 32767.
  3. There are No  New Function Are available such as CONCAT(), FORMAT() and TRY_CONVERT().
  4. There are No Data visualization  available by which we can take snapshot of data.
  5. It Use 27 bit precision for Spatial Calculation.
  6. In this Server, rebooting is requisite for OS patching , hence server down time is high.
  7. This Server  does not have this feature of availability groups, hence fast recovery is not possible.
  8. SQL Server 2008  is slow compared to SQL Server 2012.
  9. Buffer rate is less because there is no data redundancy in SQL Server 2008.
  10. Spatial features are not supported more in SQL Server 2008 R2. Instead a traditional way for geographical elements have been set in SQL Server 2008.

"Spartan" Browser

Microsoft was going to make some big changes to Internet Explorer in the Windows 10 time frame, making IE "Spartan" look and feel more like Chrome and Firefox
Spartan is still going to use Microsoft's Chakra JavaScript engine and Microsoft's Trident rendering engine.

The new "Spartan" browser includes extension support, separate desktop and mobile versions, a Spartan is not IE 12. Instead, Spartan is a new, light-weight browser Microsoft is building.. It is said to have a look and feel similar to Chrome or Firefox.

Windows 10

Windows 10 represents the first step of a whole new generation of Windows. Windows 10 unlocks new experiences for customers to work, play and connect. Windows 10 embodies what our customers (both consumers and enterprises) demand and what we will deliver.
Windows 10 will run across an incredibly broad set of devices – from the Internet of Things, to servers in enterprise datacenters worldwide. Some of these devices have 4 inch screens – some have 80 inch screens – and some don’t have screens at all. Some of these devices you hold in your hand, others are ten feet away. Some of these devices you primarily use touch/pen, others mouse/keyboard, others controller/gesture – and some devices can switch between input types.
We’re not talking about one UI to rule them all – we’re talking about one product family, with a tailored experience for each device.
And across this breadth of devices, we are delivering one application platform for our developers. Whether you’re building a game or a line of business application, there will be one way to write a universal app that targets the entire family. There will be one store, one way for applications to be discovered, purchased and updated across all of these devices.
Windows 10 will deliver the right experience on the right device at the right time. It will be our most comprehensive platform ever.
Now, during the design of a new Windows, we spend time with many diverse customers. One of the most important of these customers is the enterprise. In the past year I’ve talked to dozens of enterprise customers and listened to how they are using and deploying Windows, and what they need from us.
These customers are betting their businesses on Windows – in the first half of this year, shipments of enterprise PCs grew 14%. In that same time period, shipments of Windows enterprise tablets grew 33%.
These customers have a need to evaluate Windows early, so we are starting our dialog with them today. For more details about what Windows 10 will have for these customers, check out this blog post on the Windows for your Business blog.
Tomorrow, we are excited to announce the Windows Insider Program, where PC experts and IT Pros can get access to a technical preview of Windows 10 for desktops and laptops. Soon after, we’ll also be releasing technical previews of Windows Server and our management tools.
With the Insider program, we’re inviting our most enthusiastic Windows customers to shape Windows 10 with us. We know they’re a vocal bunch – and we’re looking forward to hearing from them.
The Windows Insider Program is intended for PC experts and IT pros who are comfortable using pre-release software with variable quality. Insiders will receive a steady stream of early builds from us with the latest features we’re experimenting with.
This week’s announcements are just the first chapter of our conversation with customers about Windows 10 – with a focus on enterprise features (because enterprises have a need to evaluate software early on) and the desktop/laptop experiences. Early in 2015 we’ll introduce the consumer chapter and talk much more about other device types and more consumer features. We’ll then continue the conversation with the developer chapter at our Build conference, and later in the year we’ll release Windows 10 and look forward to some amazing new devices.
Today was an important beginning for our customers and partners as we embark on the Windows 10 journey together. I encourage everyone reading this to sign up for the Windows Insider Program, download the technical preview, and let us know what you think. Check here tomorrow for specific details – but in the meantime, here’s a peek at some of the new features you can test drive once you become an Insider:
Tech Preview_Start menu
Start menu: The familiar Start menu is back, but it brings with it a new customizable space for your favorite apps and Live Tiles.
App_Commands
Everything runs in a window: Apps from the Windows Store now open in the same format that desktop apps do and can be resized and moved around, and have title bars at the top allowing for maximize, minimize, and close with a click.
Tech Preview_Three program snap and suggestions
Snap enhancements: You can now have four apps snapped on the same screen with a new quadrant layout. Windows will also show other apps and programs running for additional snapping and even make smart suggestions on filling available screen space with other open apps.
Tech Preview_Task view
New task view button: There’s a new task-view button on the taskbar for quick switching between open files and quick access to any desktops you create.
Tech Preview_Virtual desktop
Multiple desktops: Create desktops for different purposes and projects and switch between these desktops easily and pick up where you left off on each desktop.
Find files faster: File Explorer now displays your recent files and frequently visited folders making for finding files you’ve worked on is easier.
